Why Dropbox sucks
Dropbox is one of the most popular cloud storage providers, but a lot of it’s success is because it was the first such product to arrive on the market.
Nowadays, Dropbox has a lot of limitations (especially in the Free tier) and weaknesses compared to it’s competitors and you’d be right to say that Dropbox sucks.
Some of these weaknesses include:
Just 2 GB of storage in the free plan. Can be expanded through a tedious referral system. An expensive Pro plan at $10 or 10 euro per month. Little storage space for people who take lots of photos and videos, even in paid plans. Limited number of devices. Limited sharing of big files. Link sharing settings (expiration and preventing downloads) are only available in paid plans. Many other cloud storage services offer better features and storage space both for free and paid plans.
